I need a universal remote that:

1. Is capable of learning codes because I have an Emerson TV that no remotes seem to have a pre-programmed code for;

2. UHF capable to replace Dish Network Vip622 6.3 remote. The Emerson TV is in a room other than where the receiver (Vip622) is and is TV2.

Does such an Universal Remote Exist? I heard that the Dish UHF is proprietary.
But mom, TV is important!

Nope, no remote can learn RF signals. ALL universal RF remotes are IR only controlling remotes, but use there own RF frequency to communicate with a RF basestation, which in turn sends the IR to components.

Nothing will ever replace an oem RF only remote, this goes for Dish, Directv, bose or whoever.

Dish Network will have a new Remote out in December that is a UHF remote that has new codes for more TV and stuff but is also a LEARNING remote.

The IR version will be the 20.0 and the UHF version will be the 21.0

You say you already have one? Where did you get it? I have a Dish 722 in the living room and use the TV2 output in the bedroom. The bedroom TV is an AOC LCD and I can get the 2nd TV (RF) remote to turn it on and off but I cannot control the volume. I have tried all of the AOC codes and also tried using code scan - but none of the codes that will turn the TV on/off will control the volume. Thanks for the help in advance...
