My dad recently picked up an RCA RT2760 Home Theater. We cannot get my Comcast 3-Device DVR remote to control the unit. I've tried all the delivered codes with no success. We tried the 9-9-1 search method to no avail. Can anyone point me to a code that may work? My mom has trouble keeping up with two remotes to adjust the volume and change channel. The code needs to be 5-digit.

Bill - Today brought out an old rca tv but couldn't figure out the code problem either. I kept searching and came across a second manual for the same or appearing to be the same comcast custom dvr 3 device remote. The first one took 5-digit codes, and the second one took 4-digit codes. The name of the remote has one minor difference in the name but look exactly alike. Both called comcast custom dvr 3 device remote. I actually don't know if the 5-digit code would have worked on mine, but I hope one of these links helps you.

Except in your case, the remote accepts 5-digit setup code, so use AUX/31254. Read the 5th post to set the volume control punch through to AUX device (so that the volume keys control the AUX device no matter what device mode the remote is in). Also read the 7th post on programming POWER OFF function. If you need other functions, post which ones, and I'll try to help you find the advanced code for them.

The codes are not universal, they're universal across remotes all made by UEI.

Would anyone be able to give me a code so my comcast remote will go through the dvd menu, or at least play the movie? The 2154 code worked for volume and I used another post to program the power, but no other functions work.

Do you actually have a RT2760 or is your unit some other model? I wouldn't have expected the RT2760 to do anything with a DVD except select it as input. And Play is only supposed to affect the USB device.
