Hi all, I’m hoping that one of you folks can help me with programming the Master Power Key on a Atlas DVR/PVR 5-Device Universal Remote Control.

According to the instructions I found (Brighthouse didn’t provide any with the DVR & remote)

I press and hold SETUP until the last-selected device key blinks twice, then release SETUP.

Then Enter 9 - 9 - 5.The last-selected device key will blink twice. Then press PWR once.

For the first device you want in the power on sequence, press a device key (e.g.,CBL) once . Repeat step 3 up to four more times to add the second, third, fourth, and fifth device,as desired.so I press the CBL button then the TV button

To save the settings and exit the program, press and hold SETUP until the last-selected device key blinks twice, then release SETUP.

Everything seems to go as the instructions indicate however the Master Power Key only controls the last device I enter – ie if I press CBL then TV only the TV is powered On of Off.

Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks!

If you want the macro to turn off the TV, CBL and VCR, the sequence would be...

1) Press and hold SET, 2 flashes
2) Type 995, 2 flashes
3) Press POWER (this selects the button where the macro will reside)
4) Press TV - power - CBL - power - VCR - power
5) Press and hold SET, 2 flashes

In other words, in step 4, press a device button followed by the power button for each device that you wish the power macro to control.

Also, just FYI, for future reference, you can ask questions about the Atlas remote in the "One For All" forum here at Remote Central as it's made by the same people that make OFA remotes (ie, UEI).

Thanks Rob, that did the trick.

The instructions I had left off the part about pressing the power button between pressing the devices.

I got the instructions from [Link: urcsupport.com]

Page 29 (at least on my computer)

I couldn't find any contact info on the site so, if you know someone there, you might wan to pass along that they have made an omission in their manual.

Anyway, thanks again for the support!

I am having trouble with my Remote. It only works if I am withing 10 to 15 feet of my TV. Time Warner tells me this is normal. Does anyone know if this is true. I can not believe a Remote would have this limited range. I believe my remote is a Atlas DVR/PVR 5-Device Universal Remote Control.

Some codes are better than others, which code are you using and what is the brand/model of your TV?

Plus, let's get the stupid question out of the way, did you check the batteries?
