I've recently picked up an RCA RT2760 Home Theater in a Box and while I like it I cannot get my Comcast 3-Device DVR remote (the silver one with the HD Zoom button) to be able to control the unit. I've tried codes 1913 and every other one I could figure. I even tried the 9-9-1 search method and searched for over 200 presses to no avail. Can anyone point me to a code that may work? I'd really hate to have to get a different universal remote cause the wife is far to accustomed to the Comcast remote, and yet I hate having to use two remotes to adjust the volume and change channel. Thanks in Advance for any assistance,
Tim

Try AUX/1254. If some of the keys work, but others don't (possibly power might not work), tell me which functions you need and there should be way to program those in. Also, remember to turn off the volume lock if you want the volume keys to control the HT's volume.

That code didn't work for my RCA home theatre in a box, any other suggestions?

If you're using the comcast remote you'll have to remap the volume key control to the AUX button. If you have the silver 3 device remote that most comcast users have you can do this by following these steps:

Setting the AUX to control the RCA
1. Press the AUX button once
2. Press and hold the setup button until the AUX button flashes twice
3. Enter 1254 (the AUX should flash twice)
4. Press the Setup button once again to finish

Mapping the Volume control to the AUX button
1. Press the AUX button once
2. Press and hold the setup button until the AUX button flashes twice
3. Enter 993
4. Press the AUX button once again.

Now, try pressing the cable button to set it as the current device and hit the guide button to ensure it is working, now press the volume + or - or Mute to see if your RCA unit responds.

I found that the 1254 code works for controlling the volume perfectly, but not the power for the RCA unit. I just leave it on all the time.

Great, thanks. I used 1254 and the remote turns the unit on, changes volume and mutes but doesn't turn it off. How do we program that?

Looks like the receiver has a discrete power on and off. Try the following to set the POWER OFF to Shift-POWER. Assuming you have device code 1254 set to AUX device key:

1. Press and release AUX
2. Press and hold SETUP until remote blinks twice
3. Type 994
4. Press and release SETUP
5. Type 64257
6. Press and release SETUP
7. Press and release POWER

Now, if you press and release SETUP and then press POWER, the device should turn off. If you don't like to Shifted-POWER key (really SETUP and POWER, SETUP key acts like SHIFT function to allow another key definition on these remotes), choose another key (like PIP On/Off on the bottom), follow the above step except don't do STEP 6 and press and release the chosen key for STEP 7.

Aud 1254 or 31254 are only for UEI made comcast remotes, that if it has that at all. Not all UEI made remotes are made alike.

Would you know how to program the other remote functions to the rca unit? Such as the play button.
