Help. I lost my remote and have a KLH TV /DVD combo.

KLH has no support.

I have a philips PMDVR8 and the Direct TV Universal remote.

I have tried auto code search.

If the dtv remote is one of the white remotes, try cosdesearch on either av1 or av2 devices, but not by power search by vol instead. Like this:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-1, wait two blinks
4. enter 2
5. tap VOL UP and release
6. with TV ON
7. keep pressing and releasing CH UP, if and when the VOLUME changes
8. press SELECT to Lock in code

To punch-through the vol to all evices:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-3
4. press SELECT

I also have a KLH tv/dvd with no remote. I have been able to program a universal remote to control the tv, but haven't figured out how or if it can be programmed to control the dvd. It does help to at least have a working remote for the tv. This remote also works for a connected vcr. IF YOU FIND A REMOTE THAT WORKS FOR BOTH THE TV AND DVD PLAYER, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. The one I'm using was purchased from Best Buy for $10; it's an RCA RCRN03BR Universal Remote, 3 device, controls TV, SAT-CBL-DTC, DVD-VCR, "replaces and consolidates most major remote brands, simplifies device setup with automatic, brand, manual and direct code search methods, enables direct access to new HD over-the-air digital sub-=channels (like 59.1), partially backlit keypad, limited lifetime warranty". I'm not on commission, honest, but just bought this and have high hopes that I'll be able to figure out how to make it work the dvd, too. At least it works the tv and vcr. I couldn't get others to code to even the tv.
p.s. Oh, my, I just looked at the dates on what I'm replying to. All these years later, does anyone else even have one of these KLH tv-dvd combos? Are there any remotes for them out there? Anywhere? Please, before discarding any remotes, think about donating them to the pitifully frustrated remoteless. Is there an exchange center on this website?

Have you tried 30815? That will work for some (but not all) KLH DVD players.
