I have read this entire thread and haven't seen a code posted for Dish Network Satellite remotes.
I have a model 510 PVR and just hooked-up my new Protron PLTV-32. The picture and sound is great using S-video and composite audio cables!
Is there anyone out there that has the code for the DN platinum remote?
I tried going to the Dish Network website to look for codes and had no luck. Protron isn't even listed!

IF YOU ALL WOULD'VE TAKEN THE TIME TO READ A PREVIOUS POST (BY WACKERRR I BELIEVE) YOU WOULDN'T STILL BE TRYING TO FIGURE THE COX REMOTE CODE FOR THE PROTRON OUT!! TRY 0030, 1704, 0056, OR 0019. THOSE ARE THE CODES FOR THE NEC JUST LIKE A PREVIOUS POST SUGGESTED.

I have talked to Protron once or twice a week since Oct 10.2006, there are several different models for the PLTV-32, unfortunatuly the one I have has no code built in. Only an orginal remote will work. I ordered one from remotes.com, they don't have any either. The Protron customer service is useless, same old story ( will get them next week) then they started calling me wanting me to order one and they would have it by Xmas, I refused to give them my credit card for a remote they don't have, I have continued to call twice a week, talked to a supervisor, he's the one who told me there is no code built in. The people at remote.com are great, have called me several times. and sent 1 she located, but was for a PTLV-32 would not work mine. She said maybe the sensor in the tv is bad, but Protron said the on/off sensor are the same one for tv and remote. Found out yesterday the Protron has merged with another company. I forgot the name, I think it is Symtron. If you go on their web sight the change is there.

I purchased a Protron 37" LCD HDTV (model PLTV-3750) from ShopNBC for Christmas and am having a similar problem finding codes. I have Dish Network's HD receiver, but it's remote control doesn't control the Mute function.

So, I purchased One for All's universal remote control model URC-3220. The TV code 0178 works. The Satellite code 0775 works. However the One for All universal remote control has no ability to access the PIP, Swap and Position functions or the Page Up and Page Down functions which the DISH Network receiver's remote control does have.

Is there a One for All remote that does have those functions, as well?

Thank you!

I have owned this 32" Protron LCD TV since Christmas `05. The Remote I have works perfectly fine....NEVER had a problem with it.

But I have a Comcast Remote now, and it uses the All-4-One remote codes, and I got the new Comcast/All-4-One remote to control the POWER, and VOLUME....although the MUTE and TV/VCR controls are reversed!

On to the info you need...code 0030 is what worked for me....

Try TV/0178. That should reverse the mute and the tv/vcr

Hi there,
I've just purchased the 32" Protron PLV32 LCD. Thinking of reselling it and get an Olevia brand simply because this Protron brand is not well known. For those of you who own this 32" Protron PLV32, please honestly describe your experience owning this LCD. Thanks.

Can't belive that I am back here again after two years...my remote worked when I took all the batteries out, let it rest over night, and then pressed every button before replacing the batteries. What ever was wrong, fixed itself...but now?--the stupid power supply cord is not working. I went into Best Buy and Circuit City and they both laughed at me--said that they haven't used this outside "brick" power cord on the newer sets...and I may never find a replacement. So----I have a working remote, working LCD monitor, but NO POWER supply cord. Any body know where I can get one???

I've been reading this thread for the last year or so,
trying all of the 'codes' and so far, none have worked
with my Cox HD/DVR controller and my 32" Protron TV (from
ShopNBC). I think that Shop NBC sucks for not forcing
Protron to give out the codes and, even though I love
the TV (though the speakers are terribly tinny) Protron's
idea of customer service must have been learned from the
Japanese around 1960 when their level of manufacturing
was about the level of 'wind up mice'. Protron folks
has zero, nada, zip concern for anyone, otherwise the
SOB's would have posted their codes on their web site.
I just did a Google search and found their web site (it
wasn't easy) although the name is simple enough (www.Protron.com)
and left them an email message asking them to both create
a 'click' on their web site telling us the darn codes
as well as posting to this forum all of their codes.

We'll see what they do and I'll do a follow up.
I don't know squat about codes but, it seems that each
TV should have only one set of codes, whether 2,3,4,5
or however many numbers. The darn things should not be
secret so that this long of a forum has to exist, just
to find them.

Evidently not.
