The "original" replacement remote control for the PLTV32 can be found at www.remotes.com (1-800-REMOTES) the price I was quoted with shipping was $45.95 to Massachusetts.

But the big question is, why would somebody pay $50 for an OEM remote, when you can get a good universal remote for so much less?

Or why would you buy the same remote that everyone is having problems with, thats why this thread was started. The oem remotes are breaking!!

What the heck is Protron's customer service number I can't find it anywhere and my tv won't turn on I have power and nothing else?

I own a ProtRon 32" LCD and have tried ALL of the codes above trying to program my COX remote. None work. Any ideas what code works?

There is a small power switch next to the place where the power cord plugs into the back of the TV. I almost missed it myself!

I received the PLTV32 from ShopNBC for a Christmas Gift. I tried codes 178 and 105 but they did not work. The NEC code listed in my Time Warner remote control instructions did work. I used code 070

I love my 26" Protron that I purchased at Sears for just over $600. I thought the service at the toll free number was good. Except they could not give me the correct information about the Audio output. It did not work when I used the component in connectors, only when using coax connection. But thank goodness my cable box had two outputs so I put one into the Bose and one into the TV... Yay!! finally.
As for the remote the codes listed in my adelphia remote book are: 0006, or 0013, 0019, 0023, 0026, 0120, 0172, or last of all, 0224. I have yet to try it. Hope it works!!
