Although I get the *Code Learned* message for all the relevant buttons on the remote of my Boston Acoustics 6000, none of them work, except for *Vol Up* and *Vol Down*.
Has anyone had the same problem with this or other remotes? Any suggestions?

Stephen,
I have a Sony 9000es & the IRIQ. I had the same results with learning almost every soundfield and some inputs. The iriq said it learned the codes, but it lied.
Very rarely, I was able to slam my hand between the signal as it was beamed to the iriq, just after I pushed the button to send out the signal. It was not perfect.
Once I got the new *iriq* (not TC1000) software, I was able to learn everything I needed without getting creative with the hand thingy. If you have an iriq, I can give you the software I have and you can try again... Madrigal pulled the software I have to do some more testing, but the version I have seems ok.

Thanks Paul,
Unfortunately I have a TC1000, and the hand slamming trick does not work.
Harman/kardon say on their site that they reply to every e-mail, but they have not replied to mine on this subject after a week. I have a horrible feeling from other comments on this forume that this is par for the course.
Fortunately the TC1000 has no trouble learning from my other remotes, and I am slowly building up a setup that I quite like.
