My wife has agreed to get me the HK unit for Christmas, anyone know where to find one? The Madrigal tech support guy said that they are shipping already!

Has anybody gotten an IRIQ
I know a local Louisiana dealer who has them but he says his price is "negotiable," (only problem is he said he wanted $500 for one!!!)

I need to know the name of another dealer and his or her price so I can haggle down the price.

I also received my HK Takecontrol yesterday. I spent a good part of the day programming it. Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is a really BAD remote. The display is very difficult to read, it is slow in responding, it is hard to hold in one hand, and that wheel thing is rediculous in actual use. After using it, I would much rather go back to my Marantz RC2K.

I got mine today (12/03) at Sight and Sound in Orlando FL. Their number is (407)339-9881.

Excellent Remote. Jake is posting that he doesn't like the HK Takecontrol, which is apparently like the IRIQ. I have the IRIQ by Madrigal. It won't let you down.

The HK Take Control and the Madrigal are identical according to Microsoft ... any comments - lets check software versions -

Also I know of a dealer in MA who is selling the HK for around $300 - but has no stock

What else is new ... :-)

Tom, the IRIQ let me down big time. See other threads if you have not already. About 4 or 5 people so far are not too happy, it did some things right but a lot of things wrong.

Only one person I think (Jack Shultz) has had both (actually I think Jan has had both also) and Jack tried to convince others the Pronto was better. So far he has prooved to me to be right.

IRIQ (same as HK) is already returned and I'm waiting for a Pronto.

I have not heard of one person complain about the Pronto yet. I'm sure there will be but the statistics don't look to good for IRIQ.
