Could you also email me the instructions for the Phillips Universal remote? I don't seem to be able to get the "cable selection" installed. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Are you trying to program the remote for your TV?

Do you have a copy of the Philips DSX5500/5540 DIRECTV Receiver manual?

If so is your model of TV listed?

Go to this website hopefully this will help:

All I did was hold down code search button then released it press and release tv then push #1 for GE TV then channel up until tv worked with remote then press mute to secure the code. GOOD LUCK!

I lost my code sheet to the Philips PM4S 4 Device Universal Remote Conrol, and I can't find them online. Does anyone have the codes for a Cyber Home dvd player?

I guess no one thought to send this to you. There are MORE than 1 way to program your remote. If you haven't found codes yet, here's an optional way:

If your product does not respond after you have tried all
the codes for your brand, or if your brand is not listed,
try searching for your code by following these steps.
1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be
controlled.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the
red indicator stays on, then release the CODE
SEARCH button.
3. Press and quickly release the desired mode button
(TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to
300 times) until the device to be controlled changes
channel. The red indicator blinks off with each
button press. If you accidentally overshoot the
code required, press the CHANNEL DOWN button
to backtrack through the library until the device
changes channel. Pressing CHANNEL UP changes
direction to forward again.
5. Press and release MUTE to install the code.
