I am thinking about purchasing a SUNWAVE SRC-9320 and I am wondering about a few things.
1) In learning mode, from what I understand, the Sunwave will use my old remote to learn its functions. What happens if the remote is broken and the device has no code for it? (For example my Idall ID2010G DVD player)
2) Can the remote be used to control any devices that uses an remote, say an air-conditioner?
Sorry if these seem silly questions.

Sunwave Remotes (Also known as UCommand, Proton, and SIMA) are excellent if you have all the original remotes but most do not contain code databases. Your DVD player will not work if you don't have the original remote for programming.
I don't have any experience with codes for Idall components; however, the SONY AV Series has a large database of codes and may be a better choice.

Thank you for that. I thought that was the case.

Their newer models have a database. However, I strongly doubt Idall will be included (the DVD section is a bit sparse).

I downloaded the database list, and yes there is no listing for Idall and the section was very short.
