Hello,
I have the CL014 and I am using it on a Sharp DVD player and I am trying to turn captions off but everytime I hit the button it keeps cycling through 1,2,3 but not off. What is the trick for turning them off. Like do I have to push the subtitle button and then push up or something? Can someone explain to me what the blue letters on the remote do?

Thanks for the tip. I have a CL 007. I have
been searching for the code for awhile now. I
tried your method and it worked like a charm.
Thanks again

I have the same remote. What is the actual model number for this remote and what is the tip that helped you program it?

Thanks

The Instruction Manual for the PMDVD6, in PDF format, can be found on RemoteCentral.com. I printed mine out, after finding it (and this thread) during a Google search. Codes are listed.

For the record the proper file for a Philips Magnavox
CL015 (in the battery compartment) is PM310

Curious fact ... I have a PMDVD6, and CL015 is also inside my battery compartment.

Does anyone have the PDF file listed by Microdoll? The
link doesn't exist anymore and I can't find the codes
for the CL014 remote. Any help is appreciated.

Aaron

Re: Post 8 Chelle something or other.

I tried this link and several variations of it. The link is dead. This web site no longer exists. (http://www.philips-magnavox-remote-control-codes.com/)

I wish we would look at the post/reply threads in order not just individually as they are posted. It makes it hard to reference the replies. We have to watch the dates of the postings because web sites come and go.

I have tried this link and variations of it.
There is no active web site at this location.
It returns "This domain is for sale."

See my next post for an active link as of March '07.

This link worked for me. My Philips Magnavox (CL010) was set up within 5 minutes using these instructions and codes. There appears to be links for other models and brands on this site as well. Thanks to RIA for this post.

I have a PM335 Remote according to Amazon, but every instruction and code manual I bring up has a picture of the wrong remote. Also, the codes are 3 digits long while I specifically remember the original codes being 4 digits long. I'm trying to get the remote to work with the DVD component of a DVD/VCR combination. Right now, no matter what I press under the VCR/DVD button where I first programmed it, it only controls the VCR part. I can switch between the two parts just fine, it's just that when I hit play or any other command button, the VCR is the part that always gets the message. I'm guessing that I need to program the DVD part to SAT/CBL button, but for that I need the right set of codes. Does anyone have the set of codes that can help me?

Here's a link to amazon showing a picture of exactly the type of remote I have.

Oh, an upon further web surfing, I found that the specific remote code is PM335B. I can't find a code source anywhere on the internet though.
