First of....Thanks to Rob and Edmund for leading me to the right remote to control my ReplayTV and Sony Home Theater. I got one and it works great for my Replay, my TV and my DVD player. Now I was wondering if anyone had the right code to control my Sony receiver? With the codes supplied, The best scenario I can get is: I can turn it off and on and control the volume, but I can't switch between components ( I can only find the keys to give me Video2, CD, MD/Tape and AM/FM Tuner.....no Video1 and no DVD). I have e-mailed One for All for their help and will probably call their help line tomorrow, but I thought I might get a better and quicker response here. Thanks for any help!!

Which setup code are you using to control the volume? If it's 0158, there are some advanced codes listed here to select the various inputs:

[Link: hifi-remote.com]

080 Volume +
076 Volume -
083 Mute
079 Power
113 Power On
109 Power Off
002 Sleep
064 5.1 DVD
242 Select Phono
238 Select Tuner
240 Select Video 1
209 Select Video 2
032 Select Video 3
236 Select Tape
239 Select CD
033 Select MD/DAT
128 Select TV/DBS
124 Select DVD/LD (version 1)
191 Select DVD/LD (version 2)

Even if you're using 1058, you can still probably use these advanced codes with the 0158 setup code to program the input selects.

His Sony is set to AV2 codeset, which I just found out this week, that there is a preset code for AV2, it's 1758. Of course that code doesn't accept advanced codes, and 0158's advanced codes are for receivers set to AV1. He might be able to at least switch his receiver to AV1, he might lose the use of his OEM remote? See if your receiver is listed here. Switch your receiver to AV1, use code 1058 in the 6131. You'll find that it's missing the DVD command. Comeback then, we'll get it for you.

OK. I used Audio Code 0158 and was able to use the advanced codes listed here - EXCEPT for the Select DVD/LD. Any ideas?

Are you saying you used some of the advanced codes, and they worked, but 124 for DVD doesn't?

With the AUD device programmed with code 0158, are these the steps you tried?

1. press AUD
2. press and hold SET for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-4
4. press SET for one blink
5. enter 1-2-4
6. pick a key

Sorry...should have explained myself better. Yes I followed the steps you listed above and was successful using codes 240 & 209 to be able to switch between Video 1 and Video2 - but 124 is not working to allow me to select DVD....I tried assigning it to several different keys on the remote too. Any ideas?

I have a sony OEM receiver remote, it has LD button. The key gives off the same signal as the 6131 using advanced code 124. But I also have a 3 different sony universal remotes, each has a DVD key, they're all the same commands as each other, but not the same as the OEM LD command or 6131 with EFC 124. So I searched for an EFC that matches the DVD command from the 3 universal remotes, came up with 191. I also tried the codes in the mx-500, there was code where the dvd command matched 124 and another that matched 191.
