Click on "features" in the menu above, then click on "Programming Your Universal Remote", then click on "RCA - Instructions and codes"

I was just wondering if any of you liked your RCA remote, or is a better universal remote out there. I have a Toshiba TV with Pic-in pic, will this remote support that. Also my TV has the "EDS" function that tells me what show I am watching, will the RCA support that feature? Also have a Hitachi VCR? Any comments or suggestions of what universal remote to buy would be greatly appreciated....Sean

Sean, Forget about the RCA remotes. If you want the most remote for your money get a "One For All" or Radio Shack remote. Personally, I would recommend the 15-1994 from Radio Shack which is currently on sale for $30, this will handle all of the things you were asking about. If you want a slightly smaller remote with the same power, get the OFA Cinema 7, which usually sells for somewhere around $25 to $28. Both of these remote have PIP buttons on them, and if the default button mapping isn't to your liking, you can re-arrange them, you can even add buttons that are not on your original remote (like EJECT, etc) The 15-1994 is advertised as a 6 device remote, but it can easliy be made into a 7 device remote. Check the OFA forum and my web site for more info. Rob. [Link: stormloader.com]

How much do you care to spend, Sean? Rob is right: the two RS remotes are the best value for the price range. However, more power can be had in a touch screen remote from Crisp Solutions, the UCommand 515. It runs to $119.
At a higher price range, Sony offers the AV2100 with touchscreen and hard buttons for some basic functions. ... Mike

My RCA System link 4+ is programmed for my GE tv, however, it cannot access three-digit channels - meaning, channels over 99; can anyone help?

you guys do know that rca don't make these right? audiovox does. they said to go to there site and look it up. did and brought me to rca web site here. [Link: rcaaccessories.com]if you can't find yours there look at the sticker under the battery cover. mine is a systemlink 6 rs. the sticker says rcu600rs. looked that up on google and got brought to a radioshack site that had the pdf of the manual for it. it anyone has this same one here it is. [Link: support.radioshack.com]i don't know what model yours is so can't help with the one you have. sorry if this is a old topic but still think it oculd be useful for someone.

Always good to know, but you'll also find a variety of RCA and Radio Shack manuals (including the RCU600RS) in the files section here.

Instruction of RCA SystemLink 4: My TV Advent does not work folling any instructions found on the web or the codes on RCA site. Finally it works partially on my TV after i proceeded following these steps.
0. TV is on. 1. Press and hold "Code Search" button till all 4 buttons "sat.aux", "cable","vcr","tv" light on. Release "Code Search" button. 2. Press and release "TV" button. All button lights go off except "TV" on. 3. Press and release "Off.On" button. The "TV" light will double blink every 2 seconds. Remote control is searching automatically for code. 4. When the sound mutes after a while of searching , press and release immediatly "Enter" button to memorize. (My TV never goes off during auto searching process. SO if your TV has any respond during the search, memorize it and try several buttons).
My result: - Remote control works properly with channel entered by number. - Off.On functions as mute/unmute - Channel Down --- on/off - Channel Up --- Previous channel - Prev CH --- Channel Down - Vol Down--- Sleep timer

I came here looking for the manual or the codes and gave up then I found my manual for the RCA Systemlink 4 [with two (2) AAA batteries]. I scanned it in to a PDF file and I hope I can upload it here. I just looked around while writing this message. I see nothing that allows me to attach a file. Please help.
