Does anyone know the file format for the UCommand 616/626 or Proton src-2000/2010 (both the same remote).

I tried to contact the manufacturer SunWave (in Taiwan) and they made the lame statement that "they wrote all of the software". Well I don't know if they've taken a good look at their software, but they need to continue to do some writing because it just aint there yet.

Any way, I'm hoping someone else has taken the file format appart already so that I don't have to!! I'll be glat to share my code which will hopefully do file format conversions from OmniRemote and/or CCF files..

I've just purchased a TEAC Legacy 800 system which comes complete with a SunWave SRC-3810.

I more or less happy with the TEAC (the DVD locked up once) but the remote control is awful. Not the unit itself but the damned software they supply. Two things:

1) Can someone please help me add devices to my remote? I'd like to setup the VCR codes but my remote only has two inbuilt codes. I've tried many times to understand the instructions on how to download codes but all I've succeeded in doing is getting heated with it!

2) As soon as it's set up as I want I'm in for trying unpack the MOD files. Such a terrible piece of software (RemoteConn - now at 1.03) shouldn't spoil an othrwise reasonable package....

Finally are there any user groups for this unit/software?

PLEASE help and THANKS for reading!!

Hi,

I would be interested in the file format and I am a very skilled c++ programmer.

My remotecomm software is v1.1.0 is this later or earlier than the v1.3 mentioned?

Forget trying to set codes at the moment. There is no way of setting the link between a button and a code.

You can only set codes by learning from the original remote. This is what I did:

1 - design your layout on the PC use the original remotes as a guide and think about grouping functions on a page (set-up, teletext, etc)
2 - upload the design to you remote
3 - program the buttons using the learn feature on the remote
4 - download back to the PC (you now have buttons and codes)
5 - if you realy want to save a new MOD file for each device

Until there is a way of linking codes to buttons this is the best way!

Hello,

Does anybody news on the subject?
It seems that Sunwave does not work for a long time any more on the Remotecomm software.
It would however be interesting to modify files MOD of this remote control which is always on sale in certain countries !
