I'm in the market for a hybrid remote (buttons+lcd) for
around $100. The obvious choices are the Home Theater Master MX-500 (around $115 online) and the Ucommand 525 (which seems to be showing up for around $90). I've learned a fair bit about the MX-500 at this website, so have some sense of the pros and cons, but there is less information about the Ucommand 525. For $25 less it is an attractive choice, but if it has any major faults (strength, LCD button sensitivity, ergonomics, whatever) I would appreciate hearing about them.
Thanks much.

Daniel has a 525 review in the works, but you can learn some things about it at Crisp Solutions website here.

I think your best bet would be to compare it to the UCommand 515 and 616 and add the appropriate hard buttons.

The MX-500 is far more versatile, in my estimation. Ergonomics are great on the MX-500. I have not had a 525 to try out, but it looks better than the other two UCommand remotes for ergonomics.

I hope this helps.
