I have one of these "gems" and would love to change the software. Has anyone tried to force load the TSU9600 software onto the RC9800? I know the buttons don't exactly line up, but we have been loading the Philips TSU series files to the Marantz RC series for years. I know this is probably an overly naive approach...
I'm new to this forum. I've been thinking about digging into my flakey 9800 for a couple of years. This is the first time something interesting seems to be happening!
About the web interface. Are you assuming that its just using the UPnP protocol?
I've found that the remote runs Linux. So there is some hope of being able to modify and customize it's function. I haven't been able to fully take apart the firmware but I'm getting close. You can see the results at [Link: magick.org].
