I need help in decideing which remote an rc9800i or a TSU7000 any insight would be great!

If you can operate the software for 7000, thats the way, also if youre into customising, do the 7000. if you want somthing simple, hardley comstom, not alot of options, do the 9800

Of course, if you want something that can do streaming from your PC, you'll need the RC9800i, right?

It's just a shame. I really like the RC9800i's look/feel. Not being able to customize would just frustrate me. Wish there was a way to customize it.

Yeah, it would be great if you could customize it. But then it would cost more than what it does, as it would be the end of the TSU7000/7500. It's a bummer you have to choose between the EPG and easy setup of the RC9800i and the complete customizability of the TSU7X00. I think I'm leaning toward the EPG, though I only watch a few channels; I suppose I could just program my DirecTV box to my favorites and just use the guide in Favorites view. Of course, I hardly browse the guide anymore since I TIVO everything I really love. :)
