Hello all,

I have a serious problem with my 9800i, and due to the fact that no one other has it, I think it must be kinda broken.

I get extreme dealys when I push a button.

Example: I touch the screen, background light immedialtely turning on. I press a button on the screen ... nothing happens. Wait 1 sec, try again ... nothing. And again. And again. Somtimes it takes up to 30 sec and several touches until the device reacts an send a command to the other devices.

When I continue to press buttons, they work perfect.

Waiting a minute, trying again ... delay again, nothing happens.

The problem occurs with any button, touch screen and hardbuttons.

I can't stand it any longer to wait 30 secs till I can mute my receiver after 20+ button actions.

So is my device broken, or anyone knows about a firmware upgrade?

Excuse my bad English, not my native language.

Regards,
Michael

Which firmware version do you have? This is not normal behavior did you upgrade your firmware?

I've got the same problem (and the same firmware). The issue is currently under investigation by Philips NL. I'll keep you informed.

Try to reset your device, i.e. switch off and on the small switch at the back. That resolves your problem for a while.

What I've done is (when I got my second remote after the first one was stolen from my house) uploading a previous version of the firmware namely 2.0.b078 that one is far more stable and faster. I don't know the difference between the newest firmware and this one, and I didn't find any differences.

Best regards,

The previous version (2.0.78) of the firmware has been posted again in a.b.multimedia.utilities
