I just got this today. I cannot connect using WPA security. I tried it on 2 different Wireless routers. One draft N and one G. Nothing! Works fine when I take security odd. I updated to the latest firmware as soon as I opened it. Any one else have this issue?

Make sure that your router also supports wireless B as the remote only is supporting that. It is working for me. What firmware version have you installed on the remote?

I am not at home right now, but I downloaded and updated it with the firmware that is on the website as of yesterday. My wireless router does b/g/draft N. I also tried it with another wireless router that does b/g. Nothing. I just wont use those capabilities I guess.

alot of time in the router config(telnet or [Link: 192.168.]) there is an option in wireless config(s). it will usually say g/b/n or mixed mode. make sure your router is set to use mixed standards. please let me know how this works, as i am planning on upgrading to a N router, but i wont if the rc9800 is incompatible even using mixed settings.

The Draft N I have, the Belkin N1 only has 1 mode, mixed, which is different than most. It cannot be set to one or the other, only mixed. The other I tried is a linksys compact travel touter, it is set to mixed as well. I couldnt get it to work on either.

I have the Belkin and I found that when I updated the firmware manually it solved this issue. I could not get the routher to update automatically. Hope that helps

Go into your router settings and use TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) instead of AES (Advanced Encryption System). AES is the first stage of development of WPA2. A device that is WPA only such as the RC9800I will have to use TKIP.

Hope this helps!!
