Hi. Just got a Pronto TSU7000 with the RFX6000 extender. I have a fairly extensive IR distribution network in my home that uses Xantech connection blocks, a ZPR zone controller/preamp, etc. I would like to send the IR emitter output directly from the RFX6000 into this IR bus. Has anyone done this or foresee difficulty? Thanks!

I don't use the RFX6000 at all, so I cannot be very specific about it. However, my Pronto works great with my existing Xantech IR system, which is not as complex as yours is. Unless you really need the RF capability of the RFX6000 you might just be complicating the installation. Just my $.02.

I do it all the time...work's great. Sometimes I have to plug a 1/8 mini to mini from the RF Extender output into the "High Output" (yes, high output) of a Xantech 10 port amplified connecting block (I forget the model #).

AV Guy,

I just don't know the logic behind this to plug the thing into "High Output"?

I have a Marantz RC9200 with the RF module. I originally had 489-44 but I need more ports so I bought the 791-44. I tried so many combinations but just no luck. It would see the incoming IR as the block was blinking, but nothing from the emitters.

I posted from another forum and a member sent me here. Sure enough I plugged the mini-cable to the High IR Out and it's working great.

Thanks,

Simon
