The screen was much higher contrast and the hard buttons had much better etching. It was a dark grey rather than the crappy "galaxy grey" that was so popular in the middle 2000s.
It also didn't have touch screen issues like the 3000. I don't know how well it learns. So far it doesn't. :-)
