I'm trying to import .pcf from my existing 960.

Any pointers or tips appreciated.

Tryed to convert got this is not 950 or 3000 file...
Then got corrupted message. This was a new file, so don't believe the message.

I just want to import the B/W file in to the 7000. I will fiddle with colour once it working.

PS looks like 7000 is not being seen by Win PC......umm

Hi,

It would help if we knew a little more :o)

What operating system are you using? is it 32bit or 64bit? How are you trying to import the file to the remote?

If you save your RU960 PCF onto your PC, open ProntoProEdit NG and drag the saved PCF into the blank screen/page it should open! You can then put it onto your remote. You cannot use the ProntoEdit NG that you use with your RU960 with your new remote!

Failing that you could try PCFSwitcher (from the files section) which may help.

Your Remote not being seen by the PC may be an installation issue with ProntoProEdit NG because you must NOT connect the remote to your PC until after installation of the program as it causes problems. depending on which OS you are using you may need to install as "Administrator" in XP SP2 compatibility mode.

A search on here will tell you about those various issues.

Thank Stooby.

I used vertual PC on Win 7 to run ProntoProEdit NG and all worked fine after that. Dowloaded the 960 setup into the 7000 and it works like a dream.

I was watching that too, looked in pretty good condition for a second-hand remote.
I always liked the NG series remotes.
Enjoy.

My old Pronto 890? gave up two days before I saw this and I also a 960 in our lounge, so I could not resist. 7000 is a very nice remote.

Shame they are no longer made.
