I have been charging my remote on the dock and everything lights up fine. The 2 blue light are solid (just replaced the battery park with one made for me at Radio Shack). I leave it charging for 2 hours and blue light are off. As soon as I take it off the charging dock the screen starts blacking out and fades away. is it the batteries? Is the remote irreparable? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

...ok, just removed the battery and placed on the dock again. Same thing happens just no solid blue lights. So that definately mens the battery pack is not right, correct??

Yep, sounds like the battery. Try eBay. You'll find lots of suppliers that sell the batteries for these remotes. And they are very reasonably priced.
