Just got upgraded with the new DVR guide from Directv. Two out of three receivers work fine the third (HR24) is giving me grief on the exit button.

Every time I use it, it drops the receivers output resolution down to standard def from the 1080 I have it set to (native option is set to no). I get prompted by the receiver to press and hold the exit button if I want to return to my HD settings.

I tried recapturing the hex codes from the Directv remote but still no go. Reminds me of the up/down left/right repeating issues this same receiver had when I first set it up. That was finally resolved with the support of this forum :)

Hoping someone can post a clean set of hex codes for HR24 receiver 1 exit button. Would be greatly appreciated...

thanks

I had the same problem. I used the Directv remote and had the Pronto relearn the exit key. I tried moving the remotes closer and further away from each other. I also varied the time of tapping the Pronto remote. It takes a little patience.

Yep, scheduled for 2nite. In the mean time if you get a chance post the hex codes that have working. Otherwise I will do the same. Must be others fighting this as well...

OK, found a set that seems to work.

HR24 Exit button - Receiver 1

Examples of those that did not work but repeatedly showed up during testing.

I've been using a code set almost identical to the first one you list on all my HR20s. But with the latest use of the "exit" button, I have been having the same issue you posted, only with my HR24-500. The only way I could solve it was to adjust the "duration" setting, I have it at 0.23 seconds and so far (after three days) I haven't seen the problem, but I'll give it a while longer and post back.

Worked for me, too, thanks, although I have to hit it twice (like many other buttons; my HR24 doesn't seem to like my TSU7000 very much, see long thread from about a year ago).

FYI, I got an HR34 and I don't have to hit any buttons twice with it. Apparently they upgraded the IR receiver in the HR34 as it is way more responsive than the HR24 and it likes the TSU7000 just fine.
