Hi.

Maybe a stupid question but for some reason is not working for me. I would like to send an IR Code that remains active for at least 2 seconds. Reason is that the IR Code on the original remote has to actions. Pressing the button normally gives you an action and pressing the same button for at least 2-3 seconds give you a different command. It is for the Apple TV 2G box. I can't find the discrete IR Code for that particular Action button when pressed for 2-3 seconds.

Is there a way to achieve the same results using the TSU7500? On the IR Code settings there is a Minimum Duration settings. I set it to 3 seconds but when pressing the button on the TSU7500 works normally and it doesn't send the command with a 3 seconds active time. Or at least it is not working for me.

Also for some reason I'm unable to learn that particular IR Code from the Apple TV 2G remote control.

Any ideas?

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 2012.

Jose

Jose,

Duration only works if you have the absolute 'Latest' firmware on the remote. Please ensure that you do. If you are still having issues, please post the IR code data for the code you are trying to send for 3 seconds.

Thanks,

Lyndel,

I updated the firmware of the TSU7500 to the latest 3.8(17) but still not working as desire. Maybe I'm sending the wrong IR Code. It is for an Apple TV 2G where on the Apple remote the Select if press for around 2-3 seconds while on a movie then it brings a menu to select audio, closed caption, etc.

I'm using the same IR Code as when hitting select button normally on the remote. Below the IR Code data.

Did you learn these codes or get them from somewhere else? The code does not look clean to me at first glance to I have attempted to edit your code to get something that will work a bit better.

Try this code in an Onscreen button with no other actions and do a press and hold. Let me know if that works for you. If that works, we can talk about duration.

If the ATV remote is not paired you should be able to use these codes.

Lyndel,

Thanks for your help. Yes I get the IR Codes from a file on remote central and they were working fine. I used the code you cleaned and it still working. (Normal Pause / Resume functions). But if I press and hold for a couple of seconds then it continues pausing / resuming. On the Apple TV Remote when I press and hold the same button it invoke a different menu (for example when listening to music it will give me the option to Start Genius, Browse Artist, etc.. ) also when watching a movie it gave me a different menu. I would like to have that on the Pronto but I can't learn that particular press / hold scenario. I have two buttons where pressing / holding the button brings a different set of options. On the Apple TV remote the buttons are label "Select" , "Menu".

Again thanks.

JasonVP,

Thanks a lot. The ATV is paired with the remote that came with it. I'm just trying to configure all the available functions on my TSU7500. At least I was able to use the first set of IR Code Data for the Select button. That one is working fine. When pressing / holding the onscreen button it is working and giving me the option I want. If I press the onscreen normally I have the normal pause / play function. So at least that one is working.

So I'm using the following IR Code Data:

SELECT
1ST PART Device Code: 238.135 (0xEE.0x87) Function: 92.254 (0x5C.0xFE)
2ND PART Device Code: 238.135 (0xEE.0x87) Function: 5.254 (0x05.0xFE)

Now I just need the one for the "Menu" press / hold funcion.

You have that one?
Thanks
Jose
