Comcast recently updated my cable box and I previously had a Scientific America Box. I am using a TSU7500 and ProntoProEdit NG to try and program the remote. I found a post that listed IR codes for this device and when I enter them into the IR field and click test IR they work but as soon as I click ok and reopen the Custom IR code field the code has been changed and it doesn't work at all or its works sporadically. How can I get the codes to stick without changing or how else can I get this box programmed to the remote? Any help would be appreciated.

Post a link to the codes you are using.

Jason I used the codes that you had posted in an earlier topic and when I click test with the code window still open they work great, but as soon as I click ok the code changes and when I reopened the learned code entry form this is the code that was entered for "1" on the keypad

0000 006D 0000 0012 0008 0022 0008 0041 0008 001D 0008 006A 0008 0032 0008 0032 0008 002C 0008 0065 0008 0215 0008 0022 0008 006A 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 0C00

which is different than

0000 006D 0000 0012 0008 0022 0008 0041 0008 001D 0008 006A 0008 0032 0008 0032 0008 002C 0008 0065 0008 020D 0008 0022 0008 0065 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 0022 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 0BF2 (what you posted)

this code intermittently works but pretty much not at all.

Any ideas?

I've been programming my Panasonic TV in the past few days and found the same thing, that the last four digits would always change when I clicked OK. I needed to increase the duration of some of the codes (particularly volume +/-), but otherwise the codes all worked.

Duration is unlikely to be the issue. Here is what's being sent:
XMP 62.16 function ??  (close to function 0, but not exactly correct)
0000 006D 0000 0012 0008 0022 0008 0041 0008 001D 0008 006A 0008 0032 0008 0032 0008 002C 0008 0065 0008 0215 0008 0022 0008 006A 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 0C00

Jason's code:
XMP 62.16 function 1
0000 006D 0000 0012 0008 0022 0008 0041 0008 001D 0008 006A 0008 0032 0008 0032 0008 002C 0008 0065 0008 020D 0008 0022 0008 0065 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 0022 0008 001D 0008 001D 0008 0BF2

The green and yellow entries are wrong in the upper Pronto Hex.  The blue isn't quite right also, but it probably doesn't matter, since it is a long off time between two halves of the main signal.  So, changing duration isn't likely to fix this.  Instead, ProntoProEdit NG has to be convinced to send the correct green and yellow codes.
