On my home page, I have 4 activities placed and working, (watch cable tv, watch a DVD, home cameras, whole house audio). I would like to be able to go from one to the other and have my devices not get out of sequence. For instance, If I am watching cable tv and decide to watch a dvd, if I go to my home screen and press watch dvd it turns off my tv, but everything else is good. This happens because the way i have it programmed is so I can come to the remote, select and activity, it turns on the required devices and presto it works. Since 3 of the activities involve turning the tv on, if I switch from one to the other the tv gets turned off or on. I intalled a button on the home screen to turn everything off before I go to another activity but there must be another solution to alieviate this step. Please help.

First of all it sounds like you need to find discrete power codes for your equipment if they are available. If you don't know what discrete codes are, they are codes that will only turn the device on but not off or vice versa. Codes learned from supplied remotes are usually toggle on/off codes. Please list your equipment as the first step is determining if discretes are available. Or look in the files section under "Device Command Library". You will see "Discrete Infrared Hex Codes"listed. There you can look for you TV and other equipment.

Another way to handle this is to include a "Switch Activity" page within each device; in my PCFs I access these pages with one of the Firm buttons, which is dedicated to this same purpose across all devices. The Activity buttons on the "Switch Activity" page for a device "know" which devices are on, and don't re-issue "Power" commands for those devices.

My tv is a panasonic, model, th-50pz700u. It is the device causing my powere toggle issue. Everything else had a discrete button for on or off on the remote.
