marantz rc9500 stuck on wizz.it startup screen. pulling the battery or pushing the reset only momentarily blanks out the screen until it reboots back to that screen. any suggestions?

Have you downloaded firmware to remote? Start there. Then, create a simple PCF and download that to the remote as well.

Also, I am not sure if software is failing or hardware is failing. That being said, please also tell us what OS you are running.

If Windows 7 or Vista, is it 32 or 64 bit?

xp. the unit started doing this on its own.

thanks, ill try the firmware. usually teh reset button would fix weird issues on other remotes to get them back to atleast a "standard screen." this screen has stays on until the battery runs out, and comes back when recharged.

Tell us a bit more about what you tried, how you hooked the remote up and what happened!

An old run-down battery can cause all sorts of issues. Was the remote fully charged and on the cradle when you were connecting to your PC?
