I have had a fair amount of success learning HomeEasy RF codes with my Pronto/Marantz RC9500 and the "reciever" of a Powermid RF/IR Extender and can currently turn lights on off using the built in timer on my remote.

This company has replaced HomeEasy and their stuff is also marketed as "Siemans" and sold in B&Q (UK). It all looks really good and I have bought a load of the double wall sockets and a remote. They work well with the Siemans remote. The codes I have learned for HomeEasy controlers are not compatible and the HomeEasy won't control the new stuff, nor will the learnt codes.

I have used my Pronto (and Powermid) to learn this code from the Siemans but it won't control the socket. The original remote works but the learned codes don't.

Is there anything any of you brilliant IR experts can glean from these codes that may help me. Might they need cleaning up? I have seen you guys post cleaned up codes from codes posted by members and hope you can help me!

For your info (in case it helps) the following codes were learnt from the original HomeEasy RF remote via the Powermid, on to my Pronto and works. But this is the old protocol and is here just to prove it can be done! and may offer some help to those who know about this stuff.

Hi, the first two codes you've posted don't decode I'm afraid, in fact they don't even register as legitamate codes.
the second two are accepted as codes but can't be identified as fitting into any category it would seem, they appear also to be repeated.
Maybe others can help?
An RC member 'Johnsfine' used to frequent this site, he was the acknowledged IR guru, not seen much from him recently, but I'd suggest He'd be the man to ask.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply, I'm not expecting much because they are basically RF codes "learnt" by the the remote from the IR of the powermid so are very unlikely to fit to a category.

It was a long shot really :o(

But you never know, there may be a guru out there that can figure it!
