I have two remotes, a 7500 and 7000 and am using the RXF 6500 extender. I added a device page for my Dish remote and had problems learning the codes, so I cut and pasted hex codes. I downloaded the file into the 7500 ( I am using ProEdit ver. 2.1.8.0) and tested the remote. Everything fine. I then downloaded into the 7000 and all the other device pages work properly, but not the dish pages. I have reset the remote, restored to default configuration, saved the file as a 7000 format, and still no luck. These are not large files (1584kb), so memory wouldn't seem to be an issue. I have been using both remotes without a problem with programming until now. Any suggestions or searching ideas? Thanks

What does not work? The pages/devices don't show up or the codes do not work? If it is the former, right-click on the device and ensure that it is not set as a 'Template'. Next, if you don't have buttons that jump to the pages you desire/setup (you use the Device/Activity Menu and the the Page Menu), make sure that the device is not hidden (red icon) and that pages are not hidden (red icons).

The pages show up, it is the buttons that do not work. The 7000 remote does send a signal because the red extender light blinks when a button is pushed. It is like the RF settings are incorrect, but I have all the learned codes for all devices under the "IR codes" page and that the page has the correct RF settings. The commands for the other devices still work as they should. The only one that doesn't work is the new page for the Dish. Yet all works fine on the 7500 and I change nothing when downloading to each remote.

Since you are using an extender, try increasing the 'Duration' of the IR code from 'Default' to a longer time that works.

Post the code data from one of the codes if you cannot get things working with 'Duration'.

I increased the duration up to one second on a couple of the commands with no results, however I tried holding the 7000 buttons for about a second when executing a command instead of tapping them and the commands work. I read where I might need to alias the same code several times. Seems a little strange since the other remote works with just a tap, but I will keep searching the forum. I have included a couple of hex code if to see if you see anything I need to look at. Either way, thanks for the help, at least I seem to be on the right path.

For both codes, make a copy of everything past the first 0011 and duplicate it. Then change the 0000 in front of first 0011 to 0011 and see if it is any better.

The codes you posted do not have a long lead out which makes me wonder if the learn is clean. can you try learning and do a press and hold of button on oem remote until the 7000 beeps?

Well, actually both the new codes and the editing worked. I will continue the edit on the rest of the codes. I did try holding the buttons down until a got a beep, tried a tap, even tried moving the dish remote in and out while holding the button down, just no luck on learning. Thanks Lyndel and Jason for the help.
