i just purchased a pronto RU950 but cant find any downloads for it that other people have done previously. I assume because it is old or am i looking in the wrong place perhaps.
i have also read about upgrading the software on philps site but did not have much luck with tht either
I am not that up on the P.C and am running vista 64bit if thats of any help
any help or advice would be much appreciated

You can use any CCF or PCF File no matter what model number, you just have to convert them to your model. There are thousands of them in the Files Section. [Link: remotecentral.com]

The RU990 is the equivalent of the TSU7500
The RU980 is the equivalent of the TSU7000 (both superseded by the models above)
The only difference between the RU and TSU models is the inbuilt RF frequency, meaning that if you plan to use an RF extender you need to ensure you get the matching one.
The newer remotes have a few enhancements over the older ones but I cannot remember what they are off hand. So there will be some minor differences between the RU990 and TSU7000 over and above the RF issue.

i have allready bought thr RU950 but am searching for a TSU700 or RU 980 with rf unit but not having much luck as most are in usa but do not want to ship and others are expensive compared to the US market
