So, is there any way to exit out of there besides pressing the unnamed "remote" icon thingy?
I'm afraid to give the customer access to the settings pages, not because I don't want them in there, but because I'm afraid they won't be able to get out and they will have a stroke and my phone will ring.

Just take the icon out, so they cannot enter there.

But for your own benefit, create a button with a 99% transparent PNG image that is say, 5x5 pixels in the top-left corner of one of the lesser-used home pages such that you can still get there should you be onsite doing a service call.
Assign this button either a Special Action of Tools or Settings, I forget which it is.
