OK, so I did a search and could not find what I was looking for.

In short, I find that the TSU7500 is slower relative to my Verizon Fios remote for the Motorola STB. In fact, the 7500 seems lower than all my remotes (click time to action completed time. I am using the RF mode and can not recall if it is slower with RF as compared to IR. About the only thing I have tried is to add a 0.1 delay on my buttons. I also tried to move the STB relative to the wired extenders. It didn’t seem to help. For reference I am using the tiny wired extenders for the RF application.

So, is there anything I can try to speed up response time?

You did not indicate whether the codes you were using were ones you learned or if they were downloaded from somewhere else. "Unclean" (see Classic Pronto FAQ) codes can lead to sluggish response in some cases.

I have Fios too... when you press a button how bright is the indicator on the front display of the STB. On my Moto box if it doesn't flash bright... its kind of hit or miss.

Most advanced remotes DO perform somewhat "slower" than cheap point-and-clickers in terms of response time and command repeat rates... however that said the TSU7500 should not be noticably slower.

How does it perform with the rest of your system?
