When RF is enabled (in the editor) for a given device (given the existence of the RFX6000 or 6500), is the IR functionality disabled or does it remain enabled together with the RF?

Each device only transmits either IR or RF.

Thanks Peter, that is what I thought should happen. MY question relates to an iPronto, but that forum is all but dead, and my problem may be common to any Pronto with an RF option.
I've set up the iPronto to work with its "NetX" RF extender. Although it uses the WiFi comunications technology of the 9600, not the RFX6000 technology, the problem may lie with the editor. The symptom is that, when I change from IR- to RF-enabled, the iPronto still emits the IR commands and not the RF. I presume the problem is that there is a) something wrong with the editor, b) something wrong with the iPronto firmware or hardware, or c) operator error. Can anyone suggest how I might go about troubleshooting this problem? The iPronto editor is similar to early versions of the NG editor.
