Can anyone please help me with detailed explanation on how to make Philips Pronto Pro NG work with Sony Receiver STR-DB930? (I am especially interested in the ON/OFF power buttons) I have tried a couple of CCFs but didn't work.

I too have the DB930. I have a complete set of commands in my PCF. It is in the files on this site under C for Herb. Most I learned from the remote that came with the unit. Some I learned from a Sony 2100 remote including some that were not included on the original remote.

Hi Herb
I have tried yours, too. What exactly do I have to do? I just copied the Amplifier and Power Off devices but the buttons were disabled. I apologize if I am being stupid, I am a newbie.

Open my PCF and look at the function of the buttons. The bottons on the interface pages link to code pages which is fairly common design. You are facing a steep learning curve. Study how mine and other PCFs work. When you understand how they work you can design your own. There is a book that has been of great help to others. Perhaps another user can give you the reference.

Bingo!!! I did it, Herb. I'll explain to other people who might be as ignorant as me about the procedure.

Double-click on the source device (in this case Herb Crane's codes)
Double-click on the source page (in this case Herb Crane's Sony Amp STR-DB930)
Right-click on the source button (for instance power on)
Hit properties
Double-click Learnt (learned) IR Code
Copy the IR Code

Double-click on the destination device
Double-click on the destination page
Right-click on the destination button
Hit properties
Hit IR Code
Paste the IR Code
Hit OK

Download the new configuration to your Pronto and test the new button
