Does anyone have a MythTV file for a 7500? I have some of the commands but would love to find a file with alot more of the commands.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you just looking for a frontend layout?
All the remote commands defined in lircd.conf should be mapped to Myth Keyboard Commands in your lircrc file.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, I'm looking for the frontend.

I have a wireless keyboard but I want to use my Pronto for most commands. To be honest I don't know much at all about the relationship of the lirc files and the remote.

OK, can't help you with the frontend/pronto layout I'm afraid. I have a 7000 and haven't started making it pretty yet.

I'm a bit confused, is it an IR keyboard? Do you have a separate remote setup already?

The keyboard is a 2.4gz wireless with glidepoint mouse [Link: eworldsale.com]

My Pronto works because my mythbox came with a WINMCE remote that was pre programmed.

I did find this in the MythTV Wiki but not sure if it's usable for my 7500 or whether it's to old.

That is for a Haupagge remote. It might work if your IR sensor will pass the codes it receives directly to lirc and doesn't only accept the WINMCE remote commands. Lirc has a command line tool, irrecord, that spews out all the codes it is recieveing. Try it with the pronto config file and see if it works.
Then you'd have to use those two lirc files to replace those already on your box.
Find them by logging into a command prompt as root (su - root) then type 'locate lirc'

It would probably be easier just to train your 7500 with the WINMCE commands.
Have a read of the lirc website http://www.lirc.org/ and the MythTv wiki. That will explain how lirc works and you should be able to set it up to include any extra commands that you need.

Sorry I cant be much more help but lirc config is probably better dealt with on a dedicated forum.. with people who really know what they are talking about :)
