I have a TSU3500 and am trying to use Pronto Edit NG to update a few things. I did all the my editing some months ago using Pronto Edit for this device. I thought I was being smart by backing up the file each time to a thumb drive. I went to make a few modifications this week and :

I cant open the file I saved (it now says that file type can not be opened by the editor) it is a .pcf file. Then I thought I would upload the config from the remote, then download updated file back to remote. No dice. When I try to upload from the pronto I get the message "the remote control is not connected to the computer". Well...it is plugged in to the USB plug, which is how it used to to work. I have loaded Pronto Edit NG to another computer, all the same results.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am dead in the water here.

If I have any problems I usually close the edit program, right click the icon, choose "run as administrator" and open it. This has solved many problems similar to what you seem to be having.

Worth a try!
