I have two satellite receiver, a Manhattan 550 and a Sat Cruiser. I need them to be in the same room. The problem is that some codes from the remotes controls the two receivers at the same time. Example:

5 on the Manhattan remote is:

0000 006D 002C 0000 0155 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041
0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041
0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016
0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015
0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041
0015 05EB 0155 0056 0015 0E55 0155 0056 0015 0E55 0155 0056 0015 0E55
00EE 00BE 0015 0E55 00BE 00EE 0015 00AC

5 on the Sat Cruiser remote is:

900A 006D 0000 0001 08F7 05FA

But when I press 5 in any of the two remotes the two receivers turn to channel 5. Is there any way to tweak the codes so one receiver stops to respond to the other remote?

Thanks in advance.

No, no tweaking unless one the receivers allows access to a secondary set of IR codes. Look in the menu of each unit to see of they offer a 2nd set of codes. The hope is that one of the units offer a 2nd set of codes, to fix the exact problem you have.

thanks Dave,

I looked but there is no option for a second remote on neither one of the receivers. So I think I will have to sell one of the receivers.

Thanks again.

Or use one IR from the pronto and the other RF from the pronto (using the RFX6500). You would have to block the IR receiver eyes on the RF one but that would work.

Buy a second RFX (or two) and turn off the front blaster.

Then set up the interface on your pronto for the cable/sat/whatever box.
Set the RF address code for one.
Now Copy and paste it into your system.
Now you should have 2 of them.
Set the RF address code for the second one to the RFX.

Tada... discrete control of two boxes with only one address code. Sure it cost $400 in RFXs... :). BUT IT WORKS!

The above is why we started using RTI but its RF processor cost more then 2 RFX6500s.
