Using Pronto Pro Edit 2.1.8.0 with a TSU 7000, how can I control whether the various pages are initally displayed in Navigate Screen ("NS") mode or not?

It appears that sometimes after downloading a configuration, all pages for all devices are in NS mode, but then sometimes after downloading a configuration (in which I don't think I made any changes related to NS mode), the pages are NOT in NS. I haven't yet figured-out what in my configuration might be causing this (or is it a software bug?).

And because I've defined the NavMode button to perform actions other than toggling NS mode, when the pages come up in NS mode (which I don't want), it's not possible for the user to manually turn NS mode off.

Anyone know how to globally turn off NS mode for all devices/pages? Or even for individual devices/pages. And - most importantly - how to make sure it STAYS off?

Thanks,

dt

You turn it off directly on your Pronto by going into set up and turning it off there. It is a global setting only.

Upon a reflash of the remote firmware, I've found that Cursor Navigation also reverts to 'On'.

Manually going into setup is only a workaround. The jist of my question was how do I programmatically disable NavMode? (and keep it off !)

Edit your PCF.

On the Hard Button Properties tab of the System Page, you will find that the 'Cursor Nav' button has been programmed as Special Action 'Cursor Navigation'. If you simply clear this Special Action, the only way a user can enable is via the Setup Menus.

If you'd like to disable ability to get into setup, you can hit 'Tab' while editing items on the system page until you come to the button with a Special Action 'Tools' assigned. If you remove this special Action, user won't be able to enter setup to change the setting.

I advise against removing the 'Tools' Special Action as following a firmware update, you will need to get into Setup to turn off the CursorNav.
