I have a 3000. I used to have a 2000. I have never been very happy with the brightness of the 3000 as opposed to the 2000. I am considering getting either a 3500 or a 7500, however, I do not have anyone local that sells the Pronto so I cannot experiment with one first. Can anyone with experience on these units comment of the relative difference with regard to the contrast/brightness of the screen? Of course, I assume that the 7500 will be the best since it is color, but, overall, how bright is it? How much easier is it to view with background lights on etc?

7500 very bright very easy to use. 3500 much better than the 3000 or 2000. It has a white backlight instead of the blue/green backlight on the 3000, 2000.

I have the brightness on my 7500 turned way down, and it's still bright enough to use as a nightlight in the dark ... OK, that might be a bit of an exaggeration.

That's *not* a bad thing. You'll never, ever have to squint at the 7500's screen.
