Last week after being at my local hifi store I came home to my little puppy who looked like he'd been up to a bit of mischief. Sure enough, he had been. After 1/2 hr search of the house I find my remote outside :(

While the unit has seen better days it's ok but has some dead spots on the screen, and currently just switches itself on when it's sitting still. So until I can afford the new TSU9600 I'd like to do a quick fix on the 5400.

Any thoughts where I could source a new screen? I emailed EarthLCD and they said they didn't stock them. Hoping someone can help!

Cheers

Presumably, the RC5400 uses the same screen that the older TSU1000/2000's use. I can't confirm this as I don't have your part number. If that's the case, you should be able to use the screen from a Philips Nino 300. Search the classic pronto forum for +Nino in last 2 years for more info.

SCRAP THE ABOVE. It's a 16 level grayscale screen.

I don't believe it is as it's 16 shades of Grey. Also looks a lot clearer than my old RC5000 (Marantz version of the TSU 1000/2000's)

The RC5400 is the same as the TSU3000/3500 but I don't know if the RC followed the TSU model with the upgraded screen.

The RC5400 has been out for a while and it may have originally been the same screen as the TSU300, but newer ones may have the same screen as the TSU3500. (ie 2 different screens)

Spec at Marantz =

Sorry I can't help more than that!

Contact your closest Marantz service agent. BTW, the screen is not the same as the RC5200 or RC5000.
