I have an RU990 (running the latest firmware) and last night I noticed several of my buttons did not appear on one of my panels. These buttons have always been there so I was a little confused, all other panels seemed fine. A few hours later the pronto locked up whilst on the panel with the missing buttons.

I reset the Pronto and all was fine. I have been using the same configuration for many months and it has over a hundred or so panels. I do not use any inbuilt IR codes as they have all been learnt.

I know there was an issue with an older firmware with memory leaks but I am running the latest, so does anyone know if there are still memory leak issues in the latest version.

Baz.

Was this the first time ever your Pronto did this?
Iv'e had mine for only 1 week now and I had to disconnect the battery twice because the unit totally went berserk without any reason (once the beeper kept on beeping without me pressing a key and once it got stuck while uploading (or downloading as Philips prefers to call it) a file to my Pronto.).
So if everything's OK again now I wouldn't worry about memory leaks.

Nisei,

You did not mention what model you have and what the firmware version is. This info would be very helpful. You also did not mention if you were using built-in database codes or if you learned every code you use from the original remote.

Oh sorry I didn't mention it but it's not that I was looking for answers. I was merely mentioning it so baz8755 wouldn't have to worry.
I have a 3500 with latest firmware (factory installed). The code I used when the unit got stuck was 900A 006D 0000 0001 874E 36C9 (after pasting the long hex code into PENG). That code works just fine but when I pressed it a couple o' times in a row the beep sound became one long beep and the unit was totally frozen.
The second time it hung up on me was during a file transfer. The unit reported an error after that but luckily accepted the pcf the second time I tried. It did make me sweat for a while though :)
