Hi All,

I'm having problems with my new pronto. I have everything worked and ready to go except for the commands with my onkyo 674. I'm entering the discrete codes for on/off that i have, and whenever i hit go back to check the commands, it always changes the hex code that i entered - i know that the pronto will edit the code down to make it cleaner - but it's not working.

Anybody know what's going on? Or can point me in the right direction.

Please help!
Thanks

The original remote for your Onkyo receiver should have both an "On" button and a "Standby" button. Those are your discrete power commands right there, so try learning them directly to the remote or to the editor rather than using the hex codes you've already got. If you have no luck there I'd suggest trying the discrete power codes for other Onkyo receivers as many will be the same. I've successfully learned the commands for various Onkyo receivers myself from the original remotes with no problems. In each case the original remotes had an "On" function which would only power on the unit, and a "Standby" function which would only power down the unit.

My original remote only has a toggle for On/Standby.

I already tried to learn the IR command and even that didn't want to work.

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried discrete power codes for other Onkyo receivers? Good luck.
