I've been running ProntoProNG both the BW and COLOR versions on my bedroom pc... No problems.

The other night I ran windows update, and got many new patches, updates, etc... and now neither version will load. I see the splash screen, but then nothing. no error, no nothing, just desktop.

I've tried re-installing both versions, same results :( any clues?

I nervously did the same update recently but still working OK for me (phew) So sorry can't help

Have you tried maybe using System Restore to get back to before the updates and then maybe trying them one at a time rather than all at once.

For users with this problem, please see this thread as possible options.

In particular, look to the part where I discuss regsvr32.

I wanted to try this out for myself so I went to my daughter's computer which has XP and all of the updates including the MSXML6 update. I installed both versions of the software and they both started up just fine.

The above did indeed fix some uses with ProntoEdit Professional.
