Hope someone can help. I am trying to extract the images from my pcf. I know that I should be able to just change the extension to zip and all is good. However, when I do and try to open the file I get errors.... In WinXP it just shows a blank window. Other unzip progs generate other errors.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Mark,

I am seeing the same issue. Did you ever get this resolved?

Thanks,
Ray

Maybe a stupid question but do you have "hide extensions for known file types" checked under Folder Options?

No. I can see the extensions and change it from .pcf to .zip. And this has worked from some files, but not others.

When I try to unzip the file, Windows says: "Windows has blocked access to these files to help protect your computer."

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Ray

That sounds like another Windows setting where the default is that you can't open files with certain extensions. I don't know where that setting is, though.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Windows' built-in Zip support isn't particularly ideal for this. I suggest trying WinRAR (in fact, if you open up WinRAR and then use it to double-click on your PCF you don't even need to rename the extension).

Daniel,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give this a try. And and additional thanks for your TSU7000 pcf. I am working on my first design on the TSU7500 and your work has been a big help and inspiration.

All the best,
Ray
