The price on RU990 is nearly the double of TSU7500.
Is there any reason for me to not order on the net TSU7500.

The only I see problem with is the Voltage on the power
adapter.

Its often dual for use in all coutry. Can any of you
confirm that it can handle 220V?

Hi Jotne,
I live in Italy and I order from B&H one Pronto 7500,
can you confirm the power charger is good for the 220v ?

You have to buy a new 240V power pack from any electronics store.

Or buy a converter and use the original one with that.
I think that's even cheaper.

The physical connector is no problem, I can use an adapter.
Most new electrical equipment to day supports from 110
to 240 voltage and bot 50hz and 60hz.

There is no incentive for a manufacturer of products whose RF frequencies are illegal in Europe to include a power supply that works on European voltages. It's not specifically that the European products work on a wider or different band WIDTH, but that the work on different frequencies because different frequencies are used for different things in Europe and the US.

The power supply is just a dumb transformer, diodes, capacitor and regulator. No voltage switches. No auto input voltage switching. If you get a US travel adaptor, you will then have a string of stuff coming out of the wall, but it should work for you.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Pronto RU990 is now landed in my house.
I desided to get an Europen version at last.

Here is the official answer from Philips: Can i use TSU
in Europe or RU in US
No you can not.

Due to legal regulations RF devices can not be used in
different regions. TSU7000 is FCC approved, but not CE
approved. The latter is needed for Europe. RU980 is CE
approved, but not FCC approved. The latter is need for
the US.

At my opinion there are no other reason for that it should
not work either way.
It can learn :)

The use of an extender has nothing to do with it.
The extenderless RF signals transmitted are simply on a different frequency:
America uses 418 MHz and Europe 433.92 MHz.
So if you bring your RF operated power outlet to Europe the only thing you may need is a 115V > 230V wallwart.
