Philips has officially deep sixed the 7000. None of their distributors are getting anymore shipments. Looks like once the stores run out of the 7000 the only choice will be the 7500.

We were able to get 150 of the 7000's and that's it.

*Same thing on the TSU3000 - the 3500 is taking over...

I though they stopped producing 7000s just before the 7500 was released. I never saw a new 7000 at the distro after I saw the first 7500.

At least for a while, this might be good news for some. Undoubtedly, the 7000 will be available on eBay and other heavily discounted Internet sites at very attractive prices for months to come. Philips is selling discontinued iPronto 6400s on eBay for around $650, a fraction of the $1600 MSRP.

HiDefLifestyle1 -

As the torch is passed on to it's predecessor - 7500, I feel the new unit will have a solid foundation.

Toward the end of 7000's life, the unit had most of it's issues resolved. Thanks to the hard working effort of Remote Central's Super members.

p.s. - My apologies if I left out members who assisted in the debugging operations (you know who are) :-)
