hi guys, i think the moral of this is- if you are doing a custom install, DO NOT USE A PANASONIC SCREEN!! Panasonic give no support whatsoever and if the discretes do exist, which i seriously doubt, they will not release them. If we refuse to deal with manufacturers who ignore us then just maybe they will get the message. Hey Daniel how about making this a sticky?.,you know it makes sense.....

Can you give us the URL one or two steps up from that so we can go looking where there might be a list of ftp files? If I go back to ftp.panasonic.com, I see lots of forks in the road with no road map whatsoever. It would be real helpful if it happened that Panasonic had some kind of index or approach that listed different pdfs they might have in this section.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

hi guys, have now tried the discretes and found The discrete power on and power off codes work perfectly on all of the latest black Panasonic screens, but not the older silver screens like the 20" tv's,these are only 18 months old though.Funny thing is these power discretes do work perfectly on my six year old CRT 32" Panasonic tv.The HDMI1, HDMI2 and PC codes work also on the new black TV's, but the component or video input codes do not work at all on any screen.
Thanks OSC for this information, do you have any other resources?
regards and thanks again mark.

The 6 month old 58 worked fine.

Has anyone had any luck with the latest LCDs?

I am considering buying the TX-37LZD70 (UK), but if there are no discretes for input selection it will be off my shopping list (it's one of the reasons for ditching my perfectly good Panasonic CRT).

If there are no confirmed Panasonic discrete inputs, can anyone recommend a brand that does offer them please (32" or 37")?

Thanks, Steve

Does anyone have an updated document for the 2008 range? I am looking for an HDMI4 discrete code.

I e-mailed Panasonic and they said they cannot provide information about discrete codes, ignoring the fact the PDF is sat on their FTP server!

Hi guys

I have a TH-42PX60E plasma which is an 2006 model (for european region only i think).
These discrete codes in the PDF works : ON, OFF, HDMI 1 & 2 and PC/VGA.

But COMPONENT and also VIDEO 1-4 don't :(

I need that COMPONENT work (only one on my TV), somebody knows which codes I can try ?
