I'm programing my new remote ( Marantz RC5400) and would like a background for my page's i.e. a canvas to put all my buttons and icons onto.
I like the look of Tim Voegele-Downing's System. His looks like it's on a metal plate background. I've downloaded his file but there's not a blank page i can use.

Any help would be gratefull....Cheers Sean

Oh.....and because I'm a newbe, The drinks are on me!

The common background is set on the System Page.

Thanks Peter, But I'm still non the wiser!!

Can the common backround be changed and where is the system page??.

Is there a download available with different backgrounds and if so where?.

It took me 3 months to programme my old pronto from scratch and a lot of head scratching, but it was worth it in the end.

Download latest software or open your PCF in Advanced Mode. The System Device is located Just above the Home Device. There are 3 pages in the System Device, one is named "System Page".

If you need different backgrounds for individual devices (not a common system background), you will need to paste a panel containing your background image on each page of the device.

Press F1 from inside ProntoEdit for more help as well. And... if you have not already done so, you may want to read the Pronto and Pronto NG FAQs.

If your looking for a brushed aluminum background, open your PCF, click on Tools>Gallery select images, select background modern, there is a brushed aluminum background there.

hope this helps, Adam.

Adamh4......
Thanks for the idea, unfortunately, the marantz wizz.it program doesn't work like that, but it gave me an idea.
I downloaded the ProntoProEdit and did as you suggested and copied the background into my pictures, then, ran the wizz.it program and imported it.
Job sorted.
Thanks for the help guy's.

Peter.... I did try your method but Tim's background was never just a background. He had buttons on the background that couldn't be removed. But thanks for trying

Regards...Sean

Sean,

When you post a question here, especially considering different versions of software, it's wise to post your remote type and software name and version in use. The reason for this is Marantz software has typically been 1 release behind Philips for the NG remotes. Also, this will help the person responding to put the answer into your context.
